Watson Bros Gun History

Watson Bros was founded by Thomas Watson in 1875 taking over the premises of Durs Egg. In 1885 Thomas senior handed over the firm to his two sons Arthur and Thomas.

The Watson Bros records go back to 1875 from our original premises in Pall mall all the way through to Towerbridge rd where we manufacture and restore guns today.

Should you be interested in tracing the history of your gun please send us the gun serial number and the name of the gun. Please note that the name of the gun should be either Thomas Watson or Watson Bros. Any other name is not associated with ourselves and we do not hold any records.

To complete, once purchased please email admin@watsonbrosgunmakers.com with all your details, serial number and type of gun also any other information you feel relevant. We will respond once our research is completed usually within two weeks.

Watson Bros .410"

A rare .410" boxlock ejector , totally restored in our factory. We acquired this beautiful little 26" barrelled boxlock (unusually with sideclips) some 2 years ago and decided that this was such a beautiful mechanical piece it would be nice to lose its plain Jane look and enhance it as much as we could.

Starting off with a new 15 1/2" pistol gripped stock using deluxe wood inc a new forend. We then carved the whole gun with Oak leaves including the heavily engraved breechends of the barrels. After a complete mechanical overhaul, we complimented this beauty with the restoration of its original brass cornered leather case with a complete refit including a new lining and fittings for oil bottle and snap caps, even its original wiping rod got spoilt with a new leather sleeve. No expense spared..

All for the sum of £16,950
